Amy Youngok Kim, LL.M. '27

Amy Youngok Kim is an International Arbitration Scholar and LL.M. candidate in International Legal Studies at Georgetown University Law Center, pursuing the Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.

An international law practitioner with substantial government and institutional experience, Amy has worked across the full arc of cross-border dispute resolution, including investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS), treaty-based negotiations, mediation, and arbitral administration. Prior to her studies at Georgetown, she served as Deputy Director at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, where she handled ISDS cases and represented Korea in the UNCITRAL Working Group III sessions on ISDS reform. She previously served as a Legal Officer at the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency, advising on medical dispute mediation, and as Legal Counsel at the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB), where she supported the institution’s international outreach and public engagement initiatives.

Amy is a recipient of Georgetown’s International Arbitration Scholarship, awarded to outstanding students in the field. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and is fluent in Korean and English.

Vice President 
Alejandro Acevedo Juárez, LL.M. '27

Alejandro Acevedo Juarez is a Mexican-qualified lawyer and an LL.M. candidate in International Legal Studies at Georgetown University Law Center, where he is an International Arbitration Scholar and the inaugural recipient of the Georgetown Law–Young ICCA Scholarship.

Alejandro is also a Senior Associate at Clyde & Co in Mexico City, where his practice focuses on international arbitration and complex commercial litigation. He has represented clients in cross-border disputes under various institutional and ad hoc arbitration rules, with particular experience in the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and the interaction between arbitration proceedings and domestic courts.

Alejandro earned his law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho and pursued graduate studies in Constitutional Procedural Law at Universidad Panamericana. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Iberoamericana and Escuela Libre de Derecho, teaching courses on complex litigation and constitutional litigation.

In addition to his professional and academic activities, Alejandro has provided pro bono legal assistance to Mexican nationals in the United States through the Consulate of Mexico in Portland, Oregon. His academic and professional interests include international arbitration, cross-border dispute resolution, and the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.

David Rodríguez Alcaraz, LL.M. '27

David Rodríguez Alcaraz, of Spanish nationality, is an LL.M. candidate in International Legal Studies at Georgetown University Law Center. Attending Georgetown as a Fulbright Scholar and a Manuel Olivencia Scholar, he is currently pursuing dual qualification to practice law in Spain and New York.

Bringing a comparative law approach to dispute resolution, David has cultivated experience across globally recognized firms and arbitral institutions. His background extends to the arbitration departments of Bullard Falla Ezcurra+, Garrigues, White & Case, and Uría Menéndez, as well as an internship at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC) Secretariat.

David holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration and a Double Master’s in International Business Law and Access to the Legal Profession from ESADE, Spain. He has researched and studied ADR mechanisms at Stanford Law School and Columbia Law School, worked as a research assistant for leading professors and published several articles in the field. David speaks Spanish, English and French.

Arbitration Month Lead Organizer
Pablo Güete Álvarez, LL.M. '27

Pablo Guete Alvarez is a Colombian lawyer and LL.M. candidate at Georgetown University Law Center, where he focuses on International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. He holds an LL.B. from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and a Master’s Degree in Government and Public Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His academic experience also includes a European Union-funded graduate program on governance and resilience at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

Before joining Georgetown, Pablo practiced dispute resolution in Bogotá at CMS Rodríguez-Azuero and Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU). His experience includes international arbitration and complex litigation involving infrastructure, construction, real estate, and contractual disputes. He has also advised political figures in Colombia on public policy matters. Among other matters, he worked on an international arbitration concerning claims exceeding USD 400 million and on the defense of a state-owned company in a contractual dispute exceeding USD 50 million.

Pablo has also conducted research in arbitration matters, contributed to due diligence processes for major international transactions, and published articles on international and sports arbitration. He is admitted to practice law in Colombia and plans to sit for the New York Bar Exam after completing his LL.M. Outside of law, he enjoys soccer and writes about law and current affairs.

French Arbitration Day Lead Organizer
Yannick VINCENT, LL.M. '27

Yannick VINCENT is a Merit Scholar and LL.M. candidate in International Business and Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center, where he is also pursuing the Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.

A French civil law notary lawyer by training, with a complementary background in finance and strategy, Yannick practiced law for more than a decade in Paris, advising institutional investors, banks, corporations, public entities, and private clients on large-scale and complex transactions involving real estate, structured finance, corporate governance, and cross-border matters, as well as on mediation-related matters. He also served on secondment as Senior Legal Counsel at Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and is a researcher and PhD candidate in Business Law at the University of Lyon.

Yannick graduated from École normale supérieure (Ulm) and Paris II Panthéon-Assas University, where he earned a Magistère in Business Law. He also holds a Master’s degree in Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris and Singapore and a Certificate in Arbitration Practice from Paris-Saclay University.

He is Co-Founder and Co-President of the GLAS Forum, an international initiative focusing on arbitration and ESG disputes, has authored several legal publications, and has served on the board of directors of a medical research endowment fund and on strategic committees of companies active in real estate, finance, and ESG ratings. He is also a member of the CFA, CIArb, ICCA, and SCL.
